Care starts with a consultation with a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, who reviews symptoms and treatment history. Sessions happen in a private room with a reclining chair and include a two hour observation period. Patients may bring headphones, a blanket, or a book, and need a ride home afterward.
The practice opened in 1996 and treats patients age 5 and up. Other services include counseling, group counseling, psychological testing, medication management, first responder care, and walk in services. It serves Glen Burnie and the greater Baltimore area.
