Johns Hopkins TREAT Depression Clinic administers Spravato in Baltimore through its Mood Disorders Center for adults with treatment resistant unipolar depression. Patients first complete a psychiatric screening so the team can review previous medication trials and determine whether esketamine is appropriate.

Treatment takes place inside Johns Hopkins Hospital, and every dose is given under clinical supervision. Patients remain at the clinic for observation afterward.

The program is designed for people whose depression hasn’t improved enough after multiple antidepressant trials. Johns Hopkins draws patients from Baltimore, surrounding Maryland communities, and people referred from outside the region.
