Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital
Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital offers ketamine infusion therapy and esketamine treatment in Boston. The interventional psychiatry team works with adults whose depression has not improved after standard antidepressants, ECT, or TMS.
Eligible patients are approved after a consultation and medical clearance. Infusions run about 40 minutes and are given by recovery room nurses in a fully monitored setting. Staff also prepare patients for the intranasal form of the medication and help decide on dose and frequency over time.
The approach is trauma informed, patient centered, and collaborative. Referrals must come from the patient's own psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner. The hospital serves southwest Boston and the surrounding suburbs.
Ketamine infusion therapy is self pay and not covered by insurance. Insurance coverage for esketamine is not published.
