McLean Hospital Ketamine Service
McLean Hospital Ketamine Service in Belmont provides IV ketamine infusions and Spravato for adults with severe depression. The program focuses on major depressive disorder and bipolar depression when standard treatments have not worked well enough. Psychiatric and nursing staff monitor patients before, during, and after each treatment.
IV ketamine is infused over about 40 minutes. Patients self-administer Spravato under staff supervision and remain at the clinic for observation afterward. Treatment schedules are individualized after evaluation and medical clearance.
The service can also coordinate with McLean’s other neurotherapeutic treatments when appropriate. McLean’s Belmont program serves patients from Greater Boston and communities throughout eastern Massachusetts.
