Treatment is given through an IV line while the patient relaxes in a treatment chair, with close monitoring for side effects throughout and continued observation afterward. Someone else must drive, and patients should plan to take the rest of the day off.
A typical course is six treatments over three weeks, followed by continued sessions once or twice a month. Patients are usually asked to stay on their existing medication and therapy during the course.
The practice also offers TMS and telemedicine, and has a second office in The Woodlands. It serves Kingwood and northeast Houston.
