Bywater Health

Bywater Health is a certified Spravato treatment site in Portland, Oregon, built around care for the LGBTQ+ community. Chuck Williamson spent more than 20 years providing medical care to LGBTQ+ patients before completing psychiatric nurse practitioner training at Johns Hopkins.

The premise is that mental health care works better when the provider already understands the context. Treatment plans account for a patient's physical health, sexual health, and hormone use where relevant, and the practice deliberately avoids rigid visit schedules in favor of continuity and patient autonomy.

Alongside Spravato, the clinic offers medication management and Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma. It does not handle urgent evaluations. Bywater serves Portland and the surrounding metro.
