Psychiatric Consultants provides Spravato (esketamine) treatment in Logan for adults whose depression has not improved on standard antidepressants. The nasal spray is given in the medical office under supervision.
Sessions last two hours, twice a week to start, with staff monitoring vital signs the whole time. Esketamine was first developed as an anesthetic and now helps repair weakened connections between brain cells.
The practice takes referrals from outside providers and has a form for that. Care covers depression, anxiety, and other conditions for ages 6 to 100. Most major insurance plans are accepted, including Medicare, Medicaid, and CareSource.
