Ohio State Wexner Medical Center offers esketamine nasal spray and ketamine therapy in Columbus for adults with depression that has not responded to antidepressants and talk therapy. Treatment happens at Harding Hospital.

Intranasal esketamine, sold as Spravato, is the main form used here and the only one approved by the FDA. Ketamine given through a vein runs about 40 minutes, twice weekly for a month. Injection into the muscle is less common.

The program recently grew fivefold and now has five treatment chairs. As an academic medical center, it has run clinical trials on ketamine safety and effectiveness for years. Treatment is limited to adults 18 and over.
