This FDA-approved, ketamine-based medication is designed to help patients break through depression that has not responded to typical treatments, administered under provider supervision with at least two hours of monitoring after each dose.
Led by Dr. Craig Chepke, a Duke-educated psychiatrist active in the latest treatment advances, the practice partners closely with patients, their primary care doctors, and their insurance to coordinate thorough, affordable care.
The team is trained to prescribe, dispense, and administer Spravato in accordance with REMS requirements, partnering with a local pharmacy to provide the medication. Excel also treats major depressive disorder and postpartum depression, confirming insurance coverage before treatment begins.
