The University of Kansas Health System
The University of Kansas Health System operates a Spravato program at its Medical Pavilion in Kansas City for adults with difficult-to-treat depression. Care brings psychiatry, psychology, and pharmacy together, with patients continuing regular treatment through their referring provider.
The initial schedule includes twice-weekly visits for four weeks, followed by weekly treatment for another four weeks. Later sessions may range from weekly to monthly.
Each dose is self-administered as a nasal spray, followed by close observation for up to two hours. The program is part of the health system's main campus and receives patients from the Kansas City area as well as communities across Kansas.
