Sauk Valley Mind Matters offers Spravato at its office in Sterling, Illinois. Spravato is a nasal spray form of esketamine, used along with an antidepressant for severe depression that has not responded to other treatments.
Treatment happens at the office under supervision, and patients stay two hours afterward for monitoring. A ride home is required. Patients should not eat for two hours before the visit or drink anything in the last half hour.
Care starts with a full psychiatric evaluation with the practice's psychiatric nurse practitioner. The team also provides medication management, counseling, and EMDR. The office serves Sterling, Rock Falls, Dixon, and nearby Clinton, Iowa.
