GenHealth
GenHealth in Boise, Idaho offers Spravato (esketamine) therapy for adults with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder who have not responded adequately to prior antidepressant treatments. Spravato is a nasal spray form of esketamine, used alongside an ongoing oral antidepressant.
Patients self-administer the spray under the supervision of a GenHealth provider and remain at the facility for at least two hours of monitoring after each dose. Esketamine targets the glutamate system and is believed to help restore synaptic connections affected by depression, offering a rapid onset of action compared with traditional antidepressants.
Treatment generally begins with twice-weekly sessions for four weeks before moving to a weekly or every-other-week maintenance schedule. In addition to Spravato, the Boise office provides TMS, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, and psychology services for a range of mental health conditions.
