GW Center for Integrative Medicine
GW Center for Integrative Medicine has offered ketamine assisted psychotherapy in Washington, DC for over a decade, making it one of the more experienced integrative practices providing it in the city.
The structure is deliberately small scale. Sessions hold one or two patients at a time in a private room, and a trained facilitator stays present for the full three hours while a physician checks in periodically.
The facilitator's job is to hold the space rather than direct the experience. Integration is built in, with up to 30 minutes of follow up within the week.
Facilitators hold credentials in yoga therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, somatic therapy, and integrative psychotherapy, and a licensed physician determines eligibility first. Plan to take the full day off and arrange a ride home. The center has operated since 1998 and serves Foggy Bottom and greater DC.
