Each KAP course starts with a preparation session led by Dr. Natalie Wiggins, a naturopathic doctor, or Staci Johnson, a nurse practitioner. Ketamine is then given in the office by injection into a muscle or by mouth while the provider supports the client.
An integration session afterward helps turn the experience into lasting change. The approach may help with treatment resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and some chronic pain.
